Data Deletion Request
Jurisdiction-Specific Privacy Rights
HOMI may make services available in multiple jurisdictions. Depending on where you reside and which privacy laws apply to HOMI, you may have additional rights concerning deletion of your personal information.
Nothing in this Account & Data Deletion process is intended to restrict any privacy right that cannot legally be waived. At the same time, a deletion request does not require HOMI to delete information that it is legally permitted or required to retain.
United Arab Emirates
Where the UAE Federal Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) applies, individuals may have the right to request erasure of personal data in circumstances provided by applicable law.
HOMI may retain certain information where deletion is not required or where continued processing or retention is permitted or required by applicable UAE law, including for legal obligations, legitimate legal claims, unresolved transactions, fraud prevention, or other legally recognized purposes.
Where only part of the information is eligible for deletion, HOMI may delete the eligible information while retaining information that must or may lawfully be retained.
Egypt
Where Egyptian data-protection law applies, individuals may have rights concerning access, correction, withdrawal of consent, and deletion or erasure of personal information, subject to applicable requirements and exceptions.
HOMI may retain information where required or permitted for legal, regulatory, financial, contractual, security, dispute-resolution, or other lawful purposes.
Submitting a HOMI account-deletion request does not automatically require an independent Provider to delete records that the Provider is separately required or permitted to retain under applicable Egyptian law.
United States
Privacy rights in the United States vary by state. Where an applicable U.S. state privacy law provides a right to deletion, HOMI will process eligible requests in accordance with the requirements and exceptions applicable to HOMI.
For example, where the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended, applies, eligible California residents may request deletion of personal information collected from them, subject to statutory exceptions.
HOMI may retain information where permitted or required by applicable law, including information necessary to complete transactions, maintain security, prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Other U.S. states may provide different or additional deletion rights. HOMI will apply those rights where the relevant law applies to HOMI and the requesting individual.
Verification & Retained Information
To protect users against unauthorized account deletion, HOMI may take reasonable steps to verify the identity of the person submitting a deletion request.
Where HOMI cannot delete certain information, we may retain only the information reasonably necessary for the applicable lawful purpose and handle it in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable legal requirements.
Deletion of your HOMI account does not necessarily delete records independently maintained by a Provider, payment processor, financial institution, healthcare provider, or other third party acting under its own legal responsibilities.
